Here at Foodbank, food = love...and love = food.

Being able to get millions and millions of kilos of food out across the state to people who need our help not only fills empty pantries but puts smiles on faces.

It means the world to an elderly neighbour to receive bags of free groceries and enjoy nourishing meals. A family needing help recovering after losing their home in a bushfire. A child who can walk into school with a full stomach.

But we can only spread this love across the state because of people like you. Every $1 donated by you is 2 meals created. That's right - your donation buys the delicious food that we distribute across the state.

Because of you we can fill our brand-new warehouse with the healthy food people need every day and respond to emergencies in a heartbeat.

Together, we're food on the table for tonight. Without you, it couldn't happen. And we - plus the thousands and thousands of people who rely on us - LOVE YOU for it.

Ongoing Bushfire Relief

1,100 homes were evacuated in the Otways when fires raged through the region in late Jan. Visiting the Emergency Relief Centre at the Colac Showgrounds, we could see the difference our food was making in these communities. We met people who had been displaced, or lost their homes and others who couldn't return while the fires still burned.

What stayed with us most was seeing the community come together. People sharing clothing, feed for animals and of course food for each other. With your help, we will be there for them on the long road back to recovery. Because that's what we do as Victorians.
