Last weekend, we stopped traffic on one of Melbourne's busiest roads.

It really was an emergency. Our first Emergency Food Hamper Drive Thru since COVID-19. Because it feels awfully like that time again for so many right now.

A quietly unfolding crisis of fuel costs, food prices, rent rises and mortgage payment hikes that means more families are skipping meals or going days without food. In more than half a million households across the state.

And they need support right now - they can't afford to wait another day.
