In 500,000 homes across the state, people are skipping meals or going days without food. But there's hope... real hope thanks to our Virtual Food Drive angels ready to swoop in and make life a little better for people this Christmas.

Meet one of the faces you help every day
Rebekah is a full-time mum of four whose hardworking husband has struggled to secure enough shifts to cover the costs of feeding their family.
This is the first time Rebekah has needed to ask for help - a situation she never thought she'd find herself in. But she's so thankful that she and her family have been met with open arms at Foodbank's free food markets.
"Having veggies to make a big pot of zucchini and potato soup for my family is just a relief. It means so much to have a few days off all the worry I feel inside," Rebekah said.

Twilight Christmas Markets
We're bringing a festive farmer's market experience to working families across metro Melbourne with a series of special Christmas markets this December. Everything - from fresh produce and pantry favourites to seasonal goodies - will be completely free to our visitors. It's our way of easing the pressure and making sure families feel part of something special. Our hardworking volunteers will be there to help carry bags, give out hugs and dry the tears of relief and joy that we know will come.
Three-course Christmas lunches
In Morwell and Ballarat, we're turning our Community Food Centres into beautiful dining spaces for a proper Christmas lunch every day for a week. Guests will enjoy a delicious three-course meal made with love and local ingredients - including festive favourites. These lunches are more than just a meal for someone who needs one; they're about connection, kindness, and making sure no one feels alone in the week before Christmas.
More Mobile Supermarket Buses
In the lead up to Christmas and through the new year, our big purple buses will be rolling into the outer suburbs and growth corridors right across Melbourne. Stocked with fresh food, pantry essentials and festive extras, these mobile supermarkets will give communities the chance to choose what they need - including ingredients for a special Christmas dinner.
